ICHA’s Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Diocese of Joliet / Blanchette Catholic Center, 16555 Weber Road Crest Hill, Illinois 60403. We will begin with Mass at 7:45AM. ICHA’s Business meeting will begin at 8:45-8:55AM; opening prayer is at 8:55AM followed by the keynote address at 9:00AM. Our meeting will conclude at 12:30PM followed by lunch, which is optional. The theme for our meeting is the value of religious liberty in an increasingly secular society. A society that is becoming more and more hostile to our Catholic values. A society that wants to silence our voice in the public square. Therefore, we have scheduled three speakers.
The keynote will be delivered by Bishop Joseph Naumann. Bishop Naumann will present on the need to promote the continued healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Following Bishop Naumann, Dr. Ngozi Ezike, President of Sinai Chicago Holy Cross Hospital, will present on the benefits of religious organizations working together, especially on issues of public health which go beyond the confines of acute medical care.
Finally, Fr. William Grogan, ethicist and Health Care Vicar for the Chicago Archdiocese, and Joseph Piccione, ethicist for the Archdiocese, will provide an update on ethical issues surrounding gender, euthanasia and other areas of concern.
To cover the cost of food, speakers, and meeting space, a donation of $125.00 per participant is requested. A continental breakfast will be available from 8:00AM to 8:45AM.
