ICHA’s Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL. We will begin with Mass at 7:30AM. ICHA’s Business meeting which will have a presentation on the revised ERD Part VI will be held from 8:30-9:10AM; opening prayer is at 9:10AM followed by the keynote address at 9:15AM. Our meeting will conclude with lunch at 1:00PM, which is optional. The full draft agenda is attached.
The theme of this year’s Annual Meeting is the role of the laity in Catholic healthcare. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Laurence O’Connell. Dr. O’Connell is executive director of the Ministry Leadership Center in Roseville, CA.
Additional speakers are Dr. Therese Lysaught, from Loyola University Chicago, and Msgr. Mark Merdian, Healthcare Vicar, Peoria Diocese. Dr. Lysaught will be presenting on “Living Instruments of the Church’s Mission: Vatican II and the Theology of the Laity”. Msgr. Merdian will address “What New Evangelization can offer the Future Apostolate of Catholic Healthcare: Enhanced Leadership Formation of the Laity as Response to their Baptismal Call”.
A donation of $100.00 per participant is requested to cover the cost of food, speakers, and meeting space. A continental breakfast will be available from 8:00AM to 8:30AM. You may register by returning the attached form and donation directly to us at our office (65 E. Wacker Place, Suite 1620, Chicago, IL 60601). We do not accept credit cards. For accurate planning purposes, please indicate on the form if you will be attending Mass and if you will stay for lunch, thank you.
